DORCHESTER ADDS MORE GENRES FOR 2004

There are a lot of new and exciting happenings at the offices of Dorchester these days. Our editors have many great and innovative ideas to bring to you throughout the next year. So start counting down to:

• 2176. A five-book series that Susan Grant will launch with The Legend of Banzai Maguire in April. If you like Tomb Raider or the TV show Alias, you're going to love this action-packed set of books that feature kick-butt heroines and sexy heroes trying to restore democracy to the world. Other authors include Kathleen Nance, Patti O'Shea, and newcomer Liz Maverick.
• A new line of Romantic Suspense. Expect to see more books from this exciting genre, including More Than You Know by Evelyn Rogers, which will be out in May. Our editors are actively acquiring, so if you have a completed manuscript of 80,000 to 95,000 words, please send in the first three chapters and a synopsis to the attention of Alicia Condon, Editorial Director.
• One book with two sexy stories and two very hunky twin heroes. A Tale of Two Vikings by Sandra Hill will be released in May with two different cover looks (both featuring Stefan Schwarze of Dark Guardian fame) so readers can choose their favorite pose. The book, filled with Sandra's trademark humor, tells of each twin's quest to find true love—so you get two romances in one!
• A new line of Chick Lit books in trade paperback format. Starting with American Idle by Alesia Holliday in August, you won't want to miss a moment of the hilarity as these young women try to negotiate the treacherous pitfalls of love and life.
• A new line of Fantasy in trade paperback. Part Harry Potter and part Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe, The Adventures of Charley Tooth #1 will hit bookstores in September.
• Hard-boiled detective novels. Ever miss those hard-nosed detectives and femme fatales of yore? Rediscover your favorites in September 2004 with authors such as Erle Stanley Gardner (of Perry Mason fame), Lawrence Block and Max Allan Collins.
